President's CornerALONG FOR THE RIDE Â
As we settle into February here in St. Louis, the crisp air and (hopefully) lighter snowfalls remind us that winter isn't quite ready to release its grip just yet. But for those of us lucky enough to own a Jaguar, this month is the perfect time to embrace the thrill of getting behind the wheel—whether it's a spirited drive on clear roads, enjoying the growl of that legendary engine, or simply turning heads even on chilly mornings. February in St. Louis can be unpredictable: cold snaps, the occasional flurry, and those glorious sunny days that beg for a top-down run (if you're brave!). Our Jaguars are built for more than just fair-weather cruising—they handle with grace and power in all conditions, and there's nothing quite like seeing your classic or modern cat out enjoying the roads alongside fellow members. Just remember to check your tires, fluids, and battery—St. Louis winters can be tough on any vehicle, but especially rewarding when you conquer them in style.
More spring and summer activities are in the planning stages, including additional Cars and Coffee gatherings, tours, and our signature shows. I'll be reaching out soon to those who expressed interest in organizing or hosting events for the coming year—please let me know if you'd like to get involved or have ideas to share. Your input helps make JAGSL the vibrant community we all love.  Stay warm, drive safely, and keep that Jaguar spirit alive this February. I look forward to seeing many of you soon—whether at Cars and Coffee, trip to the Missouri History Museum or out on the road!  Best regards and happy motoring,  John Sippel
President, Jaguar Association of Greater St. Louis

Jaguar National NewsJaguar celebrates 90 years with SS Jaguar, Type 00
Jaguar has displayed the SS Jaguar and Type 00 concept together in London to mark 90 years since its first name-bearing vehicle February 4, 2026Â Â
Jaguar has marked the 90th anniversary of its first name-bearing vehicle by displaying the 1935 SS Jaguar alongside its Type 00 concept outside The Chancery Rosewood hotel in London, with the pairing representing the first time the two vehicles have appeared together. The Type 00 was shown in a new London Red colour, described by Jaguar as a bespoke shade inspired by the redbrick Victorian architecture of London’s boroughs and iconic symbols of the British capital including red phone boxes and double-decker buses. Â
Â
The SS Jaguar, launched in London in 1935, was the first model to carry the Jaguar name and featured a low roofline and elongated bonnet that departed from the upright, utilitarian designs typical of British vehicles at the time. The vehicle was designed by Sir William Lyons, whose philosophy Jaguar describes as “copy nothing.” The automaker will reveal its first production model under its repositioned brand, a luxury GT, in 2026. Â
Â
In a statement, Rawdon Glover, Director at Jaguar, said: “Ahead of the launch of our production vehicle next year it’s vital we continue to remind people of what makes Jaguar unique: being bold, unexpected, and unapologetically different. With Type 00, we’re challenging conventions in the automotive industry, just as the SS Jaguar did in its time.” Â
