The annual Jaguar Birthday Party was held on Sunday, July 18th, to celebrate JAGSL’s 60 years of existence. There were 28 members in attendance, of which many were new members who have joined in the past year.

We headed off to Road America for our third racing weekend of 2021. Our first two racing venues were ones in which we had never been to before. We had a very successful and fun time down at Barber Motorsport Park in Birmingham, Alabama. We got to race against another XKE Coupe, visit the largest motorcycle museum in the world, and had a blast in Birmingham. The XKE ran well and the weather was beautiful.

“Host: Mark and Shawn - Hyman Classic Cars”
Another great event held at Hyman LTD. Our chief judge, Jim Hendrix, presented the change, updates and overview of judging series 3 E-types. We were greatful to have members cars from Todd Dillion and Steve Gissy. These two classics were great references to the review. Co-chief judge, John Testrake, discussed our fall Concour d'Elegance and what's instore for the big event.
We had a great showing for our first post pandemic event. It was great to see so many together once again.

Back in July, I heard a strange noise coming from the engine during the final lap of my last race at the 2020 WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman. I decided to take the XKE down to R&R Motorsport in Benton, Illinois, to get a professional diagnosis.
